    Abuse is both predictable and preventable. For 30 years, the Kempe Perpetration Prevention Program has been studying the developmental trajectory of abusive behaviors in childhood and adolescence. Research and clinical practice have informed hypotheses about both risk and protective factors. Teaching adults practical, goal-oriented strategies to reduce the risk of children causing harm to themselves or others is the primary prevention needed to eradicate abuse in future generations. This is a free training. 2 training hours will be earned. Childcare provided.

    Join us for this moving presentation by Babette Canacari of The BRI Project. The platform of the foundation stems from their “Shatter the Silence” Program, creating Education and Awareness on Teen Suicide and trends such as “The Choking Game” and other risky behaviors. Learn more about these deadly behaviors hear how Babette turned her pain into action to prevent further tragedy like her own. This is free event. Childcare provided. Two training hours will be earned.
