The Ambassador Project

In Partnership with Cobbled Streets

The Ambassador Project creates community amongst child welfare caregivers so that when the case is closed, families still have a circle for ongoing support.  Ambassadors are current or former foster or kinship caregivers, and they are divided throughout the state by judicial districts. The ambassadors seek out and get to know the child welfare families in their district, help those families get to know each other, and host monthly connection events for the families. Ambassadors also gather support services and resources specific to their districts so that caregivers can have needs filled close to home. When caregivers are connected, they rally around each other and support each other, slowly diminishing the need for support from the county and/or Foster Source.
